Los grupos 4ºC Bilingüe y 4ºD Bilingüe van a desarrollar un proyecto eTwinning llamado “LEARNING TOGETHER ABOUT WELL-BEING” “aprendiendo juntos sobre el bienestar” con el instituto italiano “Antonio Vivaldi” situado en Roma 🇮🇹 .El proyecto tendrá una duración de 6 meses, de noviembre a abril.
Una vez al mes realizaremos actividades colaborativas y videoconferencias grupales 💻. Los alumnos van a trabajar el tema “WELL-BEING”: Bienestar, haciendo énfasis en las relaciones positivas en la escuela, el acoso escolar, la salud mental, el bienestar digital, el amor propio, el bienestar físico y el bienestar social, usando para ello el idioma extranjero que están aprendiendo: inglés. Iremos informando por nuestras redes sociales de los progresos del proyecto. ¡No te lo pierdas! ☺️

We continue working on European projects 🇪🇺. 4ºC Bilingual and 4ºD Bilingual groups are going to develop an eTwinning project called “LEARNING TOGETHER ABOUT WELL-BEING” with the Italian school “Antonio Vivaldi” located in Rome. The project will last 6 months, from November to April.
Once a month we will carry out collaborative activities and group videoconferences. Students will work on the topic “WELL-BEING”, emphasizing positive relationships at school, bullying, mental health, digital well-being, self-love, physical well-being and social well-being, using the foreign language they are learning: English. Esta semana quiero que reflexionemos sobre un tema muy actual: GEORGE FLOYD. Estoy segura que TODOS habéis escuchado este nombre en las noticias, y si no es así aquí os dejo un resumen que ES MUY IMPORTANTE QUE TODOS LEÁIS. 

On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, an African American man, died while being arrested by the police. A bystander video recording of the incident showed that a white police officer pinned Floyd to the ground while he was handcuffed. The police officer’s knee pressed into the back of Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes, even after Floyd lost consciousness. On the video, Floyd was heard saying, "Please, I can't breathe. My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Everything hurts. … (I need) water or something. Please. Please. I can't breathe, officer. … I cannot breathe. I cannot breathe." In a statement, the Minneapolis Police Department said that officers had responded to a call about a man suspected of forgery. 

The incident was shared widely on social media. This led to community and national outrage, an F.B.I. civil rights investigation and the firing of the officer, Derek Chauvin and three other officers who were also at the scene. On May 29, Chauvin was arrested and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. On June 3, the charges against Chauvin were upgraded to second-degree murder and the three other officers were charged with aiding and abetting murder.

Protests Across the Country 

Since Floyd’s death, there have been protests across the country, in more than 100 cities.
